Threatcare’s founder and CEO Marcus Carey was a judge at this years DIV Hackathon 2018 (<div> hackathon), which took place March 10th-11th at Huston-Tillotson University. Threatcare was also proud to sponsor the annual event, which just completed its fourth year.
DIV Hackathon is completely organized and operated by students at Huston-Tillotson University. DIV Hackathon’s mission “…is to assist Millennials of Color in recognizing that they can be more than consumers of technology—they too can be creators, innovators, and disruptors of today’s technology.”
The hackathon took place during South by Southwest, and saw many attendees. At the event, attendees and participants could find a supportive, engaging, curriculum-based environment, tech talks that share with students new product knowledge, career survival skills, the power of personal branding, and opportunities to network.
All the teams involved with the hackathon were comprised of very talented members. The team awarded first place at the hackathon was offered paid internship opportunities at Threatcare; we look forward to hopefully working with them in the future!
We would like to thank Huston-Tillotson University and the incredible students that organized the hackathon. Threatcare was honored to be involved with such a great event.
